God’s Vision and Provision
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart. Fill all my vision, every desire. Keep for Thy glory; my soul inspires with Thy perfection, Thy holy love, flooding my pathway with light from above. We thank God for another day, His amazing Grace and deeper Revelation. Today’s message is titled, “Vision and Provision”.
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”
Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘IAM has sent me to you.’ ”
God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.
“Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’ (Exodus 3:7-17 NIV84)
I want to use the story of Moses and the Israelites to encourage you to keep your vision alive because the God that gave you that vision will make a provision for it. When God told Moses about the vision for the Israelites, that is, “bringing them out of the land of Egypt into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey” , when you read this scripture you will notice Moses had a conversation with God but one thing I noticed about the conversation was Moses did not know “How to go about it” and this is what most of us are facing in our lives, We have lots of God-given visions which can cause a transformation in this world but we don’t how to go about it just like the problem Moses was facing. Moses had the wisdom to ask God some questions which helped him on how to go about the liberation of the Israelites from Egypt. This is what we should be doing as children of God, whenever we have questions on “how to go about a vision or anything” we need to ask God those questions and not google the answers. Definitely He will give you guidelines which will help you to go about the vision He has given you.
So where does the provision come from? Interesting question… God said something in this scripture which draws my attention to the provision from this vision. God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” This tells me God had made provision for Him through signs which helped Moses to bring them out from Egypt. When you continue to read the book of Exodus, you will notice God did great signs such as turning a stick to a snake, killing the first born of the Egyptians and many more. When they left Egypt, He made provision for water to come out of rock, divided the Red sea, made manner to fall from heaven and many more until they got to the promise and when even Moses was no more, God made provision for Joshua to carry out the vision.
What am I saying to you today? All I’m saying is that if you will seek for God’s wisdom and Grace concerning the vision you have, and make an attempt of achieving that vision, He will make provisions for that vision just as He did for Moses and the Israelites. Though struggles might come through the way, He will see you through. Moses and the Israelites went through a lot before they came out Egypt. Never feel discouraged when struggles set in because God will provide all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19) and not yours in order to make that vision become a reality.
Now you do know that when God gives a vision, He makes provision for that vision. I want you keep your visions alive by asking God for wisdom on how to go about it and Grace which will bring provisions to see you through. God bless you!
I want to pray with you beloved,
[Say this prayerfully]
Heavenly Father I thank you for the vision and the promises for provision in your Word. I thank you for supplying all my needs according to your riches in glory. I cast all my cares upon you for you care affectionately for me. I thank you because you were made poor that I may be rich. I look up to you alone as the source of my provision for all my needs. I declare in faith that the vision is secure and therefore I can reach out and be generous to others who are in need. I will continue to walk in your truth as my faith in you increases, in Jesus name I pray. Amen!
We hope you have been blessed by today’s message. God is in control. Stay on top! Have a great day…
